Two Mothers

A friend, who is also a fiber artist, and I created a collaborative work for the Tokyo Electron Show. Ruthie and I passed 6-one yard pieces of fabric back and forth, each time adding our own layer of imagery /color /texture. When we felt the individual pieces were finished, I cut some of the them up and sewed/collaged them into a single cloth. The new cloth is called Two Mothers, as we both nurtured the little pieces along.
Tokyo Electron purchases one art work from most of the juried shows they invite to their facility. It was a huge surprise when a notice came, saying that Tokyo Electron USA wanted to purchase Two Mothers for their permanent collection. Wow.
Hi…amazing!!! congrats!!! that is sooo cool! You are amazing!
