I’m back!

Things have been busy, busy.  This winter’s weather did not help.  Dye does not like to be cold.  It refuses to co-operate.  There would be an 8 hour window of warm followed by days of cold, gray weather.  It allowed one layer of printing, only to wait weeks for the opportunity to create the next layer.   Summer was completed in time for the Tokyo Electron Show which ran from early February until April 1, 2010. The inspiration for Summer was acres of blooming Firewheel’s, when I lived in the country.  The piece is 36″ wide x 82″ high, multi layers of dye and printing.  The fabric is a translucent silk/cotton voile.
